The Consciousness Section of this website shows that many traditions reveal this to be a new era. In the Precession of the Ages, this as the shift from the Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius, a shift that happens only every 2,000 years. The East Indian Yugas Cycle records that we are shifting from Kali Yuga (Dark Age) to Dwapara Yuga (Energy Age), which also happens every 2,000 years.

The Mayan Calendar shows that we are now entering a New Sun -- which occurs every 5,200 years. The Incan Pachacuti records the start of a new, positive 500-year cycle now. The Serpent of Light shifted from the Himalayas to the Andes in the 1990s -- moving the world's spiritual center from Tibet and India to the Peru, Bolivia, and Ecuador. This shift happens every 13,000 years and may help explain why so many Westerners are flocking now to the Amazon to study with shamans and to the Andes to study with Incan priests.
