Amazon Rainforest and River

What will coming generations think of us if we allow the irreplaceable Amazon to be destroyed? We are already close to the Tipping Point at which the destruction will be rapid and irreversible. Fortunately, the world seems to be waking up to the need to protect the lungs of the Earth.

The rainforest and river are important not only because of their impact on the world's weather and health but because they are the home of the world's greatest biodiversity and of peoples connected to the intelligence of the natural world.

With the loss of the Amazon, we lose not just the oxygen and moisture it provides the world, but we lose irreplaceble wisdom going back millennia. It is our job to ensure that the Amazon will not only survive, but recover now and thrive!
