As Dr. Vandana Shiva discussed the proposed European Law of the Seed, over 500 people were in attendance, but another 2,000 people were following on webstream. She spoke to 600 people the previous day. She says that we cannot leave saving seeds just to farmers, and we must ALL become seed savers. Dr. Shiva said that as more and more people become the change they want to see, we bring a systems change. Dr. Shiva says people in cities need to become more conscious of their food. Cities need to have Food Sheds just as they have Water Sheds that they protect. She points out that Community Service Agriculture (CSAs) help both farmers and cities.
