AeroGarden

                    The AeroGarden

The AeroGarden, available from the AeroGarden site and from Amazon, comes in several price ranges with the Bounty and Bounty Elite (shown above) at the top of the line -- both with space to grow 9 plants. The LED Ultra has space for 7 plants.

As shown in the photo above, the AeroGarden comes with a Seed Pod Kit for herbs. You can purchase kits for tomatoes, strawberries, jalapenos, and flowers -- and much more, as well as "Grow Anything Kits" to plant your own seeds.

The AeroGarden is easy to set up and use. The Control Panel tells you when to add water and nutrients. It also manages the lighting system. Most plants germinate in 7-14 days, are ready for harvesting in 4-6 weeks, and produce continuous harvests for 6 months and longer. The Seed Starting System that is included lets you use the AeroGarden to start plants that you want to transfer outdoors later.

Amazon Customer Reviews

There are many good YouTube videos on which Seed Kits to buy and what to expect.  The Amazon Reviews also provide a great deal of helpful information.

The two videos I found most helpful are:

Best Indoor Garden for Beginners: Aerogarden 7 LED Review

BEST AeroGarden Review - 3 Months! From Setup To Fruit!

In the first video, John Kohler of Growing Your Greens advises using the Aussie Trace Liquid Ionic Minerals  (100 Servings) Ionic Magnesium (1 Bottle - 8oz)  instead of the nutrients that come with the AeroGarden which have just the traditional 3 NPK fertilizers or other nutrients which can burn your plants if you add too much.

Kohler says Pure Aussie provides 90 ocean-derived minerals. However, the seed pods grew MUCH more slowly with Pure Aussie nutrients. So, they are not recommended!
